Words from a bench

We are delighted to celebrate here poems and prose written by local writers who have been inspired by nature and parks, and particularly the beauty of Rowntree Park.

These pieces invite reflection and offer alternative ways to see the abundance of this lovely place. You can read the pieces from the website, or as you stroll through the park, you can access the works with your smartphone, laptop or tablet by reading the QR code laminated and placed on various benches. The writings change with the seasons and new pieces are added a couple of times a year. We hope that you enjoy reading our words.
